“We’ve never stayed in such an beautiful village before – nor such an interesting house.” Sue and Huw G, Camberley, July 2015

“After visiting in July 2011, we had to come again! Thank you again for another lovely week here, in this beautiful house, village and area. Last time we were disappointed that the house was booked at half term but we were so impressed by the website that we booked for the summer . . . and it was so worth waiting for. This is a fabulous house in an absolutely lovely village. We seem to have done so much and yet there is so much more here we do. You have made this house truly lovely in one of France’s most beautiful villages – would recommend to anyone!" Jenny, Jayne, John, Dunton, Bedfordshire 21-28 June, 2014

“The house and the setting are both wonderful – it feels a treat to be the one putting the key in the door and coming inside! The recommended swimming spot is an absolute must. Stunning, safe and warm swimming. We loved the terrace and your Blues music!” Peter, Chantal and Guy, Guildford, 23-30 August, 2014

“We’ve had an amazing week in this fantastic house – thank you! The peaceful terrace, overlooking the pretty garden and river has been a haven and we’ve loved watching the wildlife. Evening walks up into the hills have been a highlight as was the drive to Cirque de Navacelles where the view is spectactular. Swimming in the lake at Pont du Diable has been great on the hottest days. We’ll be sorry to leave this beautiful village.” Clara, Tim, Bob and George, Dartford, 29 June – 6 July, 2013

"It seemed busy when we arrived but waking up to a peaceful square and a walk around the (almost) deserted streets of this gorgeous village I knew everything would be all right. We’ve enjoyed the best river swimming ever, a bus trip (only 12 euros for 4 return tickets) to buzzing, elegant Montpellier and a visit to breathtaking Cirque de Navacelles. We’ll miss Place de la Liberte especially and your beautiful house - we loved the quirky antiques and decor. What a fabulous place you have created. We have enjoyed simply watching the ebb and flow of the square each day, from meeting the bread man in the morning to the last few travellers heading home at the end of the day. We have had a relaxing time and you should be proud of what you have achieved here. St Guilhem is full of everything from amazing historical buildings, mountains, a lively square and peaceful street. The decor is fantastic and goes so well with the charm of the place. Thank you for a great holiday. Amazing!" 30 July – 5 August 2011, Alison P, Doncaster

“A truly beautiful area. Enjoyed lots of wine and lovely food, people-watching in the square at the end of the day ad coming back to your lovely home.” Sue, Terry and Cathy, York 22-29 September 2014

“We’ve had such a lovely week – favourite things were meandering through the market at Clermont l’Herault (Wednesday mornings), driving down to Sete on the coast via the glorious D roads – but the star of the week has, of course, been this beautiful house – leisurely breakfasts on the terrace and afternoons people watching from the balcony over the square – fabulous! I hope we’ll be back.”

“Beautifully appointed house, exquisite village and stunning scenery.” Clare, Matthew, London, 27/7 – 3/8, 2013

“What a beautiful house in a stunning location! We have had a very relaxing week in St Guilhem . . . Highlights include balmy evenings eating and drinking on the terrace, the 12km descent of the Herault in a canoe, swimming. We would recommend the region to everyone.” Alice and Sinead, London, 22-29 June, 2013

“Beautiful house in charming village! We’ve had a lovely holiday and are inspired by the wonderful scenery.” Helen P, Stafford 11- 24 August 2012

“Wow! What a beautiful village – one of the most special places we’ve ever visited. It’s felt like a real privilege to stay here for two weeks – and the house is the icing on the cake. We’ve loved living amongst all your “treasures” – it feels like you’ve scoured the country for interesting, lovely things and created a beautiful home with them. Thank you for sharing it with us.” Mark W, York 1 – 15 May 2012

"It was a big treat for us to stay in your beautiful house, thank you! The highlights included sitting on the terrace catching the sun, chatting by candlelight at night and watching the world go by in the square . . . the river swimming was bliss. The Saturday market at Gignac – heaven!" 5-12 August 2011, Jo B, Bristol

"We had not expected just what a fabulous place it would be! You must have had such fun creating this gem – a wonderful and individual creation. Thank you so much for letting us experience a little bit of this retreat."

"The square is buzzing and the first visitors are just arriving There's a big fruit and veg stall, the sun is shining through the leaves of the plane tree and the waiters are heaving tables outside – what a spot! It’s absolutely charmant." 20-22 September, 2009 Gill and Owen S-L, Bath

"Well, what a fortnight! How delightful, beautiful and perfect our time was. A stunning location and a refuge from the crazy world! We adored the square and all its life, rhythm and pace. The swimming was sublime, as was sitting watching shooting stars on that magical terrace." 6-20 August, 2009, Julian and Nik G, Long Wittenham
